Ged collects his other award, a honorary degree from Liverpool University, earlier this week
Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier has left Liverpool for the French Embassy in London to receive the Legion D'Honneur, France's highest decoration and the equivalent of a British knighthood.

The Legion D'Honneur was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in May 1802 and is awarded for gallantry in action or twenty years distinguished service in military or civilian life.

Houllier was selected for the award because of his achievements in French football.

Everyone here at Kop Talk would like to congratulate the boss on what really is a massive award. We are very proud to have such a manager in charge of our great club.
