Houllier: Heskey is the best

Heskey has played a vital part in the Reds recent resurgence with crucial goals against Southampton and Arsenal. Houllier believes that Heskey has all the ability to be the best striker the Premiership has to offer.

Houllier said: "I'm pleased to see Emile back to his best, but I am convinced there is much more to come from him.

"His pace and power is frightening and when he is playing like this he is the best in the Premiership.

"He struggled early in the season, as did many players who played in the World Cup during the summer. But I always knew we would see a different Emile Heskey in the second half of the season."
