Houllier impressed by Vignal form

The 21-year-old Frenchman has been on loan at Bastia for much of the season and is now showing signs of the form that made him such a favourite with the Anfield faithful. Houllier is now eager to work with the player at Anfield once again.

Houllier said: "I will be going to France to watch Gregory play before the end of the season. He has been doing very well and the experience has been good for him.

"I think he will be a very useful player for us next season. He had a difficult time earlier in the season because he was injured and needed to build his fitness. He will return to us a stronger player."
