Houllier looks for positives

The Reds boss believes his team competed well against the league leaders and were unlucky not to take a 3-1 lead.

Houllier said: "We played well in the first half and deserved to go 2-1 up but we needed the third goal. Harry had a chance to score and maybe if that had gone in things might have been different, but there are positives for us to take from this match.

"We played against a team who needed to react and they were like a wounded animal. It was always going to be hard for us coming here after Arsenal lost the two matches, and we more than Newcastle had the most difficult game. Arsenal are a different team when Henry plays.

"Henry was the difference and the third goal he scored to make it 3-2 was a piece of individual brilliance. Sometimes you just have to hold your hand up and praise them because they are a wonderful team. Henry was just magnificent."
