Houllier: No finger pointing (unless it's from me)

Steven Gerrard, Dietmar Hamann, and El Hadji Diouf (who have all been blamed for defeats in the past) may well be left bewildered and a little cheated by the words of their manager.

Houllier said:"I told the players to stick together and to keep believing in what they are doing. I thought we were unlucky against Charlton. We had chances to get at least a draw. What I don't want to see is any finger-pointing or blaming in the dressing room because that's a cancer in a side. We don't have that and the atmosphere is still good.

"I hope our bad run is over now. We had chances without playing well in the irst half and four good chances in the first five minutes of the second half. I thought we were very unlucky and I feel for the players. I share the sadness they are feeling at the moment. We just have to keep working hard to turn things around. I don't believe in luck, I believe in hard work."
