Houllier not worried by Murphy anger

The 26-year-old midfielder was clearly enraged at his substitution which came at a time when the Reds trailed Charlton. With Houllier's strong belief in discipline well known by those at the club, many felt that Murphy would incur the wrath of his manager. Houllier, though, believes that Murphy's reaction only serves to prove his dedication to the Anfield cause.

Houllier said: "That was nothing. Danny was unhappy with his performance and was frustrated. I like players who show frustration with their own performance and he has character."
