Houllier: Owen's left foot worth £30million

Last updated : 21 September 2002 By Kop Talk News

Although Gerrard Houllier has said Michael Owen is not for sale - which is a load of rubbish when you think about it because every player has a price - the Liverpool manager says the striker's left foot would cost Real Madrid at least £30million.

Would he sell him for a huge sum?
The Spanish outfit are seriously considering moving for Owen next year should Raul not sign a new deal and Insider sources inform us that Anfield executives would listen to "silly offers" even though the player is obviously not advertised as for sale.

"Real Madrid might be able to afford Ronaldo, but they can't afford Michael Owen," said Houllier.

"Thirty million pounds might buy his left foot, but what about the rest of him?"
