"We've had a lack of confidence lately and it's taken us to go a goal down to start playing," said the Frenchman.

"When I scored I felt the game was dying off, but I had that little bit left in the tank and got the benefits from it in the end.

"We played at times as if we were a bit short of confidence but we have never played as if we were short of character

"When you are 3-1 up the other team is going to give their all but the fact we kept our head and kept going and managed to score a fourth goal is brilliant.

"I'm pleased for the fans and the players. I think we've shown the fans a good game of football."
