The impressive arena will be filled to capacity as the French side bid to take advantage of the fine 1-1 draw they earnt at Anfield by securing a mouthwatering quarter-final tie with either Benfica or Italian giants Inter Milan.

Houllier expects his players to face a hostile reception tomorrow night, but he has looked no further than former Manchester United shot-stopper Fabian Barthez for an example of how to cope with such an atmosphere.

Houllier said: "We can learn from Barthez's reaction in the first game. He received a lot of stick but kept his focus and probably gave him more motivation.

"There will be 65,000 fans in the stadium but we have shown in the past we are strong in those situations."

"The last time I managed a team in Marseille, I won 2-1 with Paris St Germain in 1988. It will be nice to have a similar result.
