Houllier prepared for Yeovil test

The third division minows will have the support of a nation hungry for a giant-killing sensation this Sunday, but Houllier has made it clear that his side will be fully prepared for the task facing them before a passionate Somerset crowd.

Houllier said: "First of all, our players respect the opposition more than the opposition respect us at the moment.

"Respect is one of our most important values. Whatever team we play, whether it's in Europe or England, we always give the opponents the respect they deserve.

"I understand there is a fuss about this game, but the eleven players I put out will be up for it. We have had them watched three times and we know their strengths and weaknesses. But we also know a lot about ourselves, too.

"This is a game we will be well prepared for. Whatever is said or written about it, I can tell you we will be ready. The attitude and commitment and focus will be complete in our game.

"We know cup games tend to level teams out. We have had these sort of games before and we won't treat them like a third division side.

"In a cup game, they will raise their game, so we have to do the same.
We are aware a lot of the country backs the underdog, but we're motivated by that. It's very important for us to have good cup run."
