Houllier said: "There are 14 games left to play and we must keep going. We know the number of points we'll need to finish fourth and we will reach that total.
"Our football over recent games has been good. The performances at home against Newcastle and Everton pleased me greatly. The fluency of our football was good and we created many chances.
"We also played well at Bolton on Saturday and got a good draw. We probably just need more goals know. I would settle for creating less chances than we have been doing and scoring more goals."
