"It's a relief but also a hope because when you score away in this competition it's vital for the second leg," said the Liverpool boss after the game.

"Their goalkeeper kept them in the game for a long time. It's just a shame that we conceded that goal.

"Maybe we could have scored more but it was a difficult pitch. We sometimes didn't find the passes and, when we did, we couldn't find the goal."
