Houllier still believes

Liverpool have endured a week which has seen them exit the lucrative Champions League and fall behind Arsenal in the title race. Houllier, though, cannot understand the criticism.

He said: "There are times when you go through difficult periods as a club and that's when you need everyone to stick together"

"I noticed when the side drew with Sunderland on Sunday there was no booing. The fans were with us because they could se we played well"

"I don't think some of the comments about us are very fair. I hear people say we are boring, yet even before the Sunderland game we had the second highest number of shots of any team in the premiership. The Sunderland game showed what a good team we are when we had over 20 shots on goal. We were just unlucky".
