Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is still chasing Feyenoord's Brett Emerton and Blackburn's Damien Duff.
Contact with Feyenoord has been ongoing for months and the Aussie star is very keen on the idea of joining the Reds. As for Duff, well Rovers insist he isn't for sale but they may find it hard to reject any firm bids.
If the manager lands the duo, that will conclude his summer spending. If he is unable to bring them in, he will continue to look at other options.
