Houllier still keen on Van Der Vaart

Van Der Vaart, who has long been linked with a move to Anfield, proved his undoubted class with a stylish display that only added to Houllier's growing respect for the Ajax schemer.

Houllier said: "There was a lot of skill on show from both teams. Van der Vaart showed some great touches out there. He's still young but that doesn't matter.

"I like Van der Vaart, that's no secret. I said it two years ago and I haven't changed my mind since then."
