The Reds boss yesterday confirmed that he would be meeting his old friend to discuss potential transfers for the summer. Immediately Cisse, along with Jean-Alain Boumsong, was said to be Houllier's prime target. Now the Anfield supremp has admitted that the highly sought-after striker is the main item on his transfer agenda.

Houllier said: "We have planned a meeting with Guy Roux. There are things we want to raise with him. We'll meet and discuss a couple of players we are interested in.

"I don't know if he will let Cisse go this summer, that is why we are talking to him. I know he said he will resign if they sell Cisse but we will see. We will meet not only for Cisse though, there are things we want to discuss for the summer."
