Gerard Houllier has issued a message to Keving Keegan and his Manchester City players - 'We're out to get you'.

"We are like a wounded animal but we will respond. I am eager to do that," said Houllier following the frustrating 1-1 draw in midweek against FC Basel.

"The team continues to grow and Wednesday's performance was one of the best of this season alongside the Newcastle match. The result was very frustrating because of that but the performance was very encouraging.

"We showed variety in our football, used the width of the pitch and produced some great build up play. The goals did not come for us but we will put that right."
