Houllier: We have played better

Liverpool were in control of the clash with West Ham from the first minute to the final whistle. Houllier, though, believes Liverpool have performed better in games this season that they haven't even won.

Houllier said: "At the beginning of the season we played some very good football against Newcastle and Birmingham at Anfield. We created all sorts of chances but drew both games after letting slip two goal leads.

"Our main target now is qualifying for the Champions League, it's going to be tough but that's the way it should be. When your players are back in business and performing well, things can happen."
