Houllier won't blame Heskey

A hapless Heskey appeared to connect more with the Anfield turf then he did with the ball as he attempted to earn his side dramatic late equaliser, but Houllier insists that the burly forward was tired after his recent efforts for the team.

Houllier said: "I do not want to blame Emile. He had sacrificed himself, battled for 90 minutes in Bucharest and it had been very demanding and difficult for him. Maybe he was just a bit tired at the end, even though I felt a draw was a fair result."
