Houllier's well wishes for Roeder

"My thoughts are with him," said Houllier. "He has had a difficult season and handled it with a lot of dignity and I am sure he will overcome this problem.

"From my experience I know he is a genuine man and my best wishes go to him."

A spokesman for the Royal London hospital has said that Mr Roeder is 'stable'.
