Hull winger aiming to be Anfield success

Anderson has had a successful trial at Melwood and will join the Reds when the transfer window opens in January, with Jon Welsh joining the Championship side on a permanent deal in return.

Although he accepts it will be difficult to make the break through at Anfield, Anderson is determined to be a success.

He said: "The challenge at Liverpool is going to be huge and I really have to push myself because I might never get another chance. The trial I had there in September definitely gave me a taste for it.

"I have always loved it at Hull City and it was a wrench having to leave but I would happily come back if it all went wrong over there."
