Hyypia said the Reds had to perform to the first leg standards or it would be the Catalan giants who would emerge victorious.
He said, "We know we need to produce exactly the same performance in the second match that we did in the first."
"Anything less and Barcelona will win and we will be out of the tournament wondering where it all went wrong. It may be an old cliche, but this is only half-time," Hyypia added.
He continued, "Nobody should forget that there is still 90 minutes to play still at Anfield and a team as good as the European champions will believe they can put things right after their first leg defeat. Barcelona have won at Anfield in the past and we must realise that only a top class display from us will ensure we reach the last eight."
