Hyypia confirmed as new club captain

Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia has today been confirmed as Liverpool's new club captain following Jamie Redknapp's transfer to Spurs.

There is no official news regarding who will be the new vice-captain but Sami is expected to make his feelings known to Gerard Houllier as to who the ideal candidate should be in his eyes.
