Hyypia fit for Wednesday

There were fears that Hyypia would miss the Reds' Champions League last sixteen second leg game against Benfica after the defender was withdrawn at half time against Charlton on Saturday with a hamstring problem. However, a scan revealed the injury was not as serious as first thought and Hyypia has been passed fit.

"The scan did not show up anything serious and Sami will be fit to train with the rest of the squad on Tuesday." said Liverpool press spokesman Ian Cotton.
