Hyypia praises Hobbs

The 19 year old reserve team captain made his league debut for the Reds yesterday after coming on as a 51st minute subsitute for Jamie Carragher. Hobbs helped the Reds keep a clean sheet and earned the praise of his defensive partner.

"Jack has shown in training he is comfortable on the ball and a good defender," said Hyypia.

"I watched him here in the League Cup and he did well in that game. He is very talented and if he keeps his head down and works hard in training he can be one of our main players in the future."
