Injury update

Torres has missed Liverpool's last three games with a hamstring injury. Although he has almost recovered, today's game has come around a little too soon for a return to action.

"Fernando is very close. Maybe he'll be okay for the weekend, but he cannot play tomorrow. "We will see how he is over the next two or three days and then make a decision for Saturday," said Rafael Benitez.

"We have some problems after the Chelsea game. You know Keane had an injury, while Kuyt and Alonso also had some knocks. We will have to check on them but I think they will be okay for the Portsmouth game."
