Dirk Kutt scored for Holland in their 3-0 win over Belarus while Daniel Agger was part of the Denmark team that beat Iceland 2-0.
Sami Hyypia played for Finland as they drew 1-1 at home to Portugal while in the same group Jerzy Dudek was an unused subsitute for Poland as they drew 1-1 with Serbia in Warsaw.
There was disappointment for Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia and Pepe Reina however as Spain fell to a suprising 3-2 defeat to Northern Ireland.
