International round up

Steven Gerrard captained England to a 3-0 win over Estonia at Wembley while Peter Crouch was an unused subsitute.

Pepe Reina was an unused subsitute for Spain as they picked up an excellent 3-1 win in Denmark. Former Red Luis Garcia played the final eleven minutes of that one.

Steve Finnan played the full 90 minutes for the Republic of Ireland as they held Germany to a creditable 0-0 draw at Croke Park. The draw has almost certainly ended Ireland's qualification hopes however.

The qualification hopes of Yossi Benayoun and Andriy Voronin are also fading as Israel lost 1-0 to Croatia while the Ukraine were beaten 3-1 by Scotland. Both players played the full 90 minutes.

Ryan Babel played the final ten minutes for Holland as they were beaten 1-0 in Romania while Sami Hyypia earned Finland a decent 0-0 in Belgium.
