Steven Gerrard, Peter Crouch and the on loan Scott Carson all played the full ninety as England lost 3-2 to Croatia at Wembley and failed to qualify for Euro 2008.

Sami Hyypia's Finland needed an away win in Portugal last night but a 0-0 draw means they too miss out on Euro 2008 qualification.

John Arne Riise played the full game as Norway strolled to a 4-1 win over ten man Malta. However, in the same group Turkey beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 to book the second qualifying place behind Greece.

Ryan Babel played the full 90 minutes while Dirk Kuyt was a second half subsitute as Holland suprisingly lost 2-1 to Belarus. The result was irrelevant however, as the Dutch had already booked their place in the finals.

Andriy Voronin scored for the Ukraine as they drew 2-2 with France last night. Ukraine had already missed out on qualification before this game.

There was some good news last night. Pepe Reina kept a clean sheet for Spain as they beat Northern Ireland 1-0.
