Israel are currently fourth, two points off Greece and Latvia in second and third respectively but those two teams meet each other in the next game.
Fernando Torres played 57 minutes as already qualified Spain strolled to a 3-0 win over Estonia.
Andriy Voronin played for Ukraine as they were held to a disappointing 0-0 at Belarus. Ukraine are two points behind second placed Croatia with a game in hand, although that game is against England.
