The Liverpool man will deputise for the injured John Terry when Sven Goran Eriksson's men take on Iceland at the City of Manchester Stadium.

"If it had been the game against France we might have taken a risk with John Terry. But for this game Jamie Carragher will probably come in for him," confirmed Eriksson.
