Finnish international Jari Litmanen believes that the 1-0 advantage the Reds hold against Bayer Leverkusen gives the team a huge advantage for the return game in Germany next week.
A 1-0 scoreline is better than a 0-0 scoreline and Jari stresses that.
"Obviously it's better for us to go over there with a one goal lead than if the score had been goalless," said Jari.
"They have to look for a goal now otherwise they are out of the competition and so there is going to be some pressure on them.
"We have shown on numerous occasions over the past couple of seasons that we can go away from home in Europe and get the result we need. If we don't lose next week then we are through. That's all that matters."
