J.C, Garcia and Gerrard make shortlist

Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard will both be representing the Reds for the prestigious Ballon D'Or award, although Ronaldinho is widely tipped to be the winner.

However, the Reds can be proud of their players inclusion in the shortlist, as Arsenal have only one of their players names on the list, that of Thierry Henry.

Unsurprisingly, the transfer windfall which Chelsea have been able to partake in has resulted in seven Stamford Bridge players being shortlisted, whilst Man Utd have four.
