Johnson praised

The England defender made his Liverpool debut in the unfamiliar position of left-back in last night's pre-season friendly against St Gallen and his attitude and performance was praised by Benitez.

"I asked him to play on the left and he did really well. The team as a whole did well but everyone was watching Glen and he was good," said the boss.
