The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has chosen Children Today as the beneficiary for The PFA Borneo Cup 2006, aiming to raise over £100,000 for the charity, which provides equipment for children and young people with sickness or disability.

Kennedy is joining five other soccer legends who have also signed up for the event and is now calling for fans who fancy a challenge to join him, as he tackles a series of exciting activities in the tropical rainforest of Borneo, from a gruelling trek to the summit of mount Kinablu to a thrilling raft race on the Kiulu river.

Neville Southall (Ex Everton), Arthur Albiston (Ex Manchester United), Peter Nicholson (Ex Bolton Wanderers), Brian Kilcline (Ex Newcastle United) and Simon Garner (Ex Blackburn Rovers) will be joining Neville to lead the courageous troops through their jungle journey, raising thousands of pounds along the way.

"I think I speak for all the captains when I say this is going to be an amazing experience," said Kennedy. "If you are the adventurous type and think you have what it takes to complete this unique challenge, whilst raising masses of money for Children Today, then get in touch."
