Jones hoping to keep Owen quiet

Jones, who had a successful but short loan spell with Liverpool earlier this year, is sure to receive a warm welcome from the Anfield faithful.

The Welsh keeper is happy to see Owen scoring again, but hopes he can keep a clean sheet on Saturday.

"Michael Owen did us a favour last night getting two against Pompey,” said Jones

β€œHe hasn't been scoring lately but hopefully by getting two last night it's got it out of the way and he won't be on target Saturday against us.
"He's a quality player and I knew the goals would come for him. Let's just hope we can keep him quiet this weekend."
