Jones, who had a successful but short loan spell with Liverpool earlier this year, is sure to receive a warm welcome from the Anfield faithful.
The Welsh keeper is happy to see Owen scoring again, but hopes he can keep a clean sheet on Saturday.
"Michael Owen did us a favour last night getting two against Pompey,” said Jones
“He hasn't been scoring lately but hopefully by getting two last night it's got it out of the way and he won't be on target Saturday against us.
