Josemi calls on players to win for Cisse

Liverpool go into tonight's game knowing that they cannot afford to lose. A visit to the Riazor Stadium is a difficult game anyway, but now the Reds go there without their £14m summer signing.

A win will be difficult but Josemi believes his team-mates will go all out for victory for Djibril Cisse.

"It has affected the whole team and our thoughts are with him," he says. It was a terribly unfortunate injury and it could have happened to any of us.

"But we cannot afford to dwell on what happened at Blackburn. We must now look ahead and concentrate on the game here in Spain against Deportivo La Coruna.

"Losing Cisse is a major blow to the club, we are well aware of that, but there are other players who can come in and play in his position, and it is up to them to take their chance. The best tribute we can pay him now is by winning the match.

"It will be a difficult match. Both sides need three points. Depor have not been doing too well this season. They will be pretty much out if they lose but our desire for three points is just as strong. We are determined to progress from this group and we know victory at the Riazor could be a very significant result."
