The Italian midfielder has spent a succesful loan spell at the Serie A club and although Juventus failed to exercise the option to sign himn for €16m before 15th May Franco Zavaglia is confident a deal will be done during the summer.
“We’re waiting to see how things evolve,” he said. “Juventus didn’t take up their option to sign him, but I’m still confident because I think that Liverpool are ready to do a deal. I believe an agreement will be found eventually.
“He’s still a Liverpool player and if an agreement with Juventus is not reached then he’ll respect his contract. Liverpool are one of the best clubs in the world.”
