Keep attacking says Rafa

The Liverpool boss is confident that if he keeps picking an attacking line up the goals will come and the Reds will start heavily beating teams. Tomorrow's Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven will hopefully be the start of a good run of games.

"When you look at the team we selected at Arsenal and Middlesbrough, it's clear we weren't playing for a draw in those games," said Benitez.

"No-one can say Liverpool is a defensive team. We play with two wingers and use a lot of attacking players.

"I spoke to the players yesterday and told them if we keep creating chances and playing well, things will change. It's clear we would prefer to create more opportunities, but when you watch the game it's unbelievable we didn't win on Saturday.

"The crosses we put into the box were not always the best, but it's difficult sometimes when you're playing against a team which uses three centre backs.

"I would much prefer to see my team creating so many good situations and hitting bad crosses than not getting into those situations at all. It means we can do better in the same situations next time.

"It's clear where we need to improve, and it's not only with the crossing.

"When a player hits a bad cross, his attitude must be to work harder and make sure the next time it's better.

"I see this in both Mark [Gonzalez] and Jermaine [Pennant]. There were times when Mark hit the ball to the near post, but in the end he put in a perfect ball and we nearly scored.

"This shows Mark has a strong mentality. He and Jermaine are determined to change things for themselves and the team."
