Keeper earns Anfield reprieve

The Liverpool-born shot-stopper has competed with Frenchman Patrice Luzi for a reserve team place this season and had appeared to have lost out to his colleague in the battle to remain on Merseyside next season.

A season-ending season to Chris Kirkland has seen Harrison elevated to third-choice keeper behind Jerzy Dudek and Luzi, and now it appears he has impressed the Liverpool management sufficiently to win a new deal with his boyhood heroes.
