Keeper eyes Anfield retirement

Dudek signed a new contract with Liverpool just last week, and now admits that he sees Anfield as the ideal place to end his career.

He said: "I'm now at an age where I'm thinking this is where I want to stay for my whole career.

"Now I'm 29 I have to think about where I want to be for my last club. I hope to play another ten years for Liverpool, but it may be less.

"I see David Seaman playing at a top club like Arsenal at 39 and I would give everything to be with Liverpool that long. All this depends on how you feel mentally and physically. If you live for the games, you can do it."

And Dudek blasted the treatment of the England Keeper in recent times, hitting out at the fickle nature of the football fan.

"Everyone knows Seaman has always been and still is the number one goal-keeper for England.

"I have always admired his play and the goals he's conceded have been incredibly unlucky.

"When I saw the Ronaldinho goal in the World Cup and the Macedonia goal last week I just thought he was very unfortunate.

"When you are a goal-keeper you can play 20 good games and no-one notices you.

"Then you have one piece of bad luck like that and everyone is talking about it. Seaman is still number one in my opinion."
