Liverpool produced probably their best display of the season as they comfortably beat Man City 3-0 at Anfield last night.
"It was a fantastic performance. I think the players thoroughly deserved the three-goal victory," said Dalglish.
"We got three goals in the first half and in the second half, we wanted to make sure we didn't give them any incentive or encouragement.
"I think the second half was a very professional performance and the players had plenty of opportunity to add to the three goals. It's a great boost for us beating a team as good as Man City 3-0 - and deservedly as well.
"It's satisfying for everyone that we've scored three goals, we really deserved to win and played some good football.
"We had a young lad at 18 years of age making his debut and he had an outstanding game, and we've not lost any goals.
"I don't think there is much wrong with the evening's work and it is a great credit to the players the way they went about their work."
