"It was touch and go, but you have to be confident," said the Liverpool winger.
"The original plan was to play 45 minutes, but it felt good, so I wanted to continue. It's just going through the paces, I wasn't going full strength, but to just go out there, I enjoyed it.
"I've still got about a week until the first World Cup game, so we're working hard, day and night. It's not 100 per cent, but it's getting there. It's done wonders for my confidence.
"If I could play a little part in Germany, I'd be over the moon."
