Kewell goes AWOL

"Kewell has got a year left on his contract so he has plenty of time, but I don't," said Reid. "It would help me no end if Harry would turn his mobile on so I can get in touch with him.

"I have been trying to contact him for days now, but I can't track him down or get through to him. I really need to know what he is doing. Otherwise I can't get on with what I want to do.

"If he is out there then can he please turn his phone on."

Arsenal are still favourites to sign the winger although their offer of an exchange deal with Jermaine Pennant or Ray Parlour is less attractive than a cash-only deal which Gerard Houllier may be able to muster.
