Kewell linked with Reds as Macca linked with Leeds

Leeds United ace Hary Kewell has been linked with a possible summer move to Anfield following news that former Red Steve McManaman has been sounded out about a move to Elland Road.

Kop Talk understands that Kewell is unhappy at Leeds and that he would consider a move to a top club should the opportunity become available. Kewell, a Liverpool supporter, hasn't just been linked with Liverpool, he's also been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and several European outfits.

McManaman on the other hand is happy at Real Madrid but knows that he isn't a big hit with the club's management. If they manage to force him out this summer, which they have tried numerous times to do in the past but failed due to Macca's reluctance to move on, he could end up at Leeds as we're informed that he'd fancy the opportunity to team up with best mate Robbie Fowler again.

Leeds are fully aware of Macca's feelings after been asked if he'd be up for a switch back to England and in particular, Yorkshire.

Gerard Houllier would not be interested in re-signing McManaman if he became available as he feels he is the wrong type of player to have at the club.

It would be fair to say though that the boss has added Kewell to his potential summer targets list but don't expect any silly bids.
