Kewell to be fit for World Cup

Harry Kewell has been a doubt for the World Cup since picking up a groin injury in the FA Cup final. However, Kewell gave Australia a boost yesterday when he was declared fit enough to take part in light training.

"Harry's running about 85 to 90 per cent now and he's only a day or two days off being back in full training," said Australia's assistant coach Graeme Arnold.

"It'll be great to have him back on board, but at the same time he's missed a few weeks of very hard, very intense sessions so he's got a lot of catching up to do.

"We'll want to try to get him on the field for that the Liechtenstein game [Australia's final warm-up match on June 7].

"Harry's got to gel into the side structurally as well - to know what his job is."
