Kewell to leave?

Mark Gonzales was granted a work permit yesterday and is expected to make the left wing position his own in the Liverpool first team. His arrival will mean less first team action for Harry Kewell who could be sold by Rafael Benitez.

Benitez hopes to bring Dirk Kuyt and Daniel Alves to Liverpool before the start of the new season but to get both he will have to raise money by selling some of his current squad.

Kewell had a decent World Cup which means the Reds can demand a decent price for him. The other surplus members of the Liverpool squad, Djimi Traore, Salif Diao, Chris Kirkland etc, will not raise much money so Kewell is likely to be sacrificed to bring in new blood.
