King Kenny thanks supporters

The Reds and the Blues met again at Anfield yesterday to replay the 1986 FA Cup final and raise funds for the Marina Dalglish appeal. A crowd of 32,947 turned up to watch the game and afterwards Kenny Dalglish thanked the fans for their backing.

"It was a brilliant day and with nearly 33,000 people turning out it was just fantastic," said Liverpool's greatest ever player.
 
"It was such a fabulous day and I would like to thank everybody for coming along and supporting us.
 
"It is always nice to win but the main thing is we will now have a facility for the people of Merseyside to be proud of."
