Kirkland back in training

He will meet up with the rest of the first team squad when they return to Melwood for pre-season training on Monday.

It is not yet known whether he will return as first choice keeper, or whether Jerzy Dudek, who showed a return to form following Kirkland's injury, will remain between the sticks.
