"I feel sorry for Jerzy, so sorry for him, because he is a fabulous keeper and a fabulous guy, and he was distraught in the dressing room afterwards," said the England Under 21 keeper.

"I've just got to get square behind him now, we all have, and give him our support because he deserves it.

"He really is a fantastic goalkeeper and is such a good person to learn from. That's why I've got no worries that he'll bounce back quickly from this.

"He's just too good to be down for long. I know that he'll get over this quickly and come back better than ever.

"These things happen to goalkeepers from time to time - it's one of the hazards of the job. He'll bounce back quickly - believe me. At the moment I'm hurting for Jerzy."
